|• When Will the World End?
"But of that day and hour
knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but
my Father only." Matthew 24:36
While we do not know the exact day or hour of Christ's
second coming and the End of the World, we are expected
to know when it is near. The Bible says that we are
in darkness if we don't understand these things. "But
ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should
overtake you as a thief." 1 Thessalonians 5:4 Read
"The Day and Hour Knoweth no Man"
• What Happens to the Dead When the End of The World Comes?
Reader's Question: According to scripture, when Christ returns, the righteous will rise from the dead to be with Jesus. I just read the book "90 minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper. Mr. Piper states in his book that when we die, we immediately go to heaven or hell. How does his statement tie in with scripture? In other words, when we die, and if we automatically go to heaven how are the dead to be brought up from the ground? (submitted by Cherie from Tennessee on 12-2-2008)
Answer: By the study of the scriptures Cherie, you have uncovered a serious error in Mr. Piper's theology. As you have said, the Bible teaches that at Christ's second coming the saved will rise to meet Jesus in the air.
The dead simply rest in the grave until the return of Jesus. Many modern theologians have departed from the clear teachings of God's Word and have lost sight of this. (See 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, and 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18)
It seems that in years past Americans were better students of the Bible. Visit any grave yard and your likely to find on some tombstones the inscription "R.I.P."
What does this inscription mean? "Rest In Peace"
Jesus taught that death was like sleeping, that the dead didn't know anything or do anything, they just wait silently in the grave. In the old testament this concept is also clearly found. (see Job 14:10-14 Matthew 9:23-26, John 11:11-14)
Where did all the confusion on this subject start? Answer: Back in the Garden of Eden with one of the Devil's greatest and earliest lies. (see Genesis 3:4) Today, many cults, new age religions, eastern religions, and even many Christian churches teach that when you die, you don't really die.
Here is a good website that has more information on this important Bible topic.
|• Is a Global Banking System a Sign of the End?
Reader's Question: I recently read that one of the signs of Jesus' second coming was a World Banking system. Can you tell me where this is found in the Bible? (submitted from Texas on 11-22-2008)
Answer: Revelation 13:16-17 "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
The Bible indicates that immediately prior to Jesus' second coming one powerful nation will have tremendous influence and control over the world's money and banking systems.
The nation described in the latter portion of Revelation 13 will coerce and force the inhabitants of the world to adhere to the worship of "God" as it deems appropriate. 'Economic Sanctions' will be used.
The great principles, Liberty of Conscience and Freedom of Religion, that exist in parts of the world today will be abandoned.
|• What Will the World be Like Before Jesus
"...as it was in the days
of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they
sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that
Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from
heaven, and destroyed [them] all. Even thus shall it
be in the day when the Son of man is revealed."
Is there is anything wrong with eating and drinking,
buying and selling, planting or building? No, these
are all needful life activities. However, these activities
become sinful when they are taken to excess and absorb
our attention so that we don't heed God's instructions
"And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time
your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness,
and cares of this life, and [so] that day come upon
you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them
that dwell on the face of the whole earth." Luke
These verses should be soberly considered. Jesus, is
basically saying that just prior to His return, life
for the most part will be going on as usual. As a result,
most of the world will be so caught up in everyday life
that His final warning messages will be unheeded. The
vast majority of the world will be suprised by the suddeness
of the closing events.
Back in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah God sent angels
to give instructions that if heeded would have saved
Lot's family. We can learn much from these warnings,
view the article "Lessons
from Sodom and Gomorrah."
|• What Will Happen When the World Ends?
The Bible says that the End of the world coincides with the second coming of Jesus. In several places the Bible describes what will happen to the earth, here are a few things that will happen:
• There will be a LOUD noise as of a trumpet
• Fire will destroy structures, homes, and forests
• Virtually everything will be burned up, even the "elements" will be melted.
• There will be a tremendous earthquake
• The earth will reel too and fro
• Jesus will return to the Earth with all of His angels
• The righteous will be taken to heaven
• The unrepentant sinners will be destroyed
• The righteous who died previous to the second coming will be raised from the dead, they will then be transported into the air to meet Jesus and go back to heaven with the righteous who were alive at the time of Jesus' second coming. View some of the Bible verses that answer this question.
|• What are the Seven Last Plagues?
Information about the seven last plagues which occur at the end of the world can be primarily found in the book of Revelation chapter 16. These plagues will be poured out upon those worship the beast and his image, and those who receive the mark of the beast in their forehead or hand. The plagues are as follows:
1. Terribly painful sores (the Bible says noisome and grievous sores)
2. Ocean becomes as blood
3. Rivers and fountains become as blood
4. Sun scorches earth with intense heat
5. Darkness on the beast's place and kingdom (intensly painful)
6. River Euphrates dries up
7. Great Earthquake, thunder and lightning, cities fall, mountains collapse, islands go away, great hailstorm.
Dear friend, God does not intend for anyone to receive of these plagues, they are only for those who harden their hearts in disobedience, become decieved by the devil, and end up taking the mark of the beast.
Friends, today is the the day to return to God, repent of our sins, and start our lives going in a new direction. God will give you power to do right if you ask Him. He will not allow you to be overwhelmed by the temptaions of the enemy. Here is a promise for you.
"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 1 Corinthians 10:13
|• Many generations have come and gone who have thought that the end was coming and it hasn't come yet, why does God allow this and all the suffering that is still going on in this world?
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." 2 Peter 3:9
The Lord waits because He wants all men to repent of their sins, one person saved for all eternity is an immeasurable treasure. Jesus paid the price for every person, and He is giving every opportunity possible to each person to choose life. He wants people to ask Him to forgive their sins and recieve His grace and power into their lives.
But the Bible says that eventually He will not wait any longer and the final events of Bible Prophecy will take place rapidly and He will say:
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." Revelation 22:11-12
• Is President Barack Obama the Antichrist?
Reader's Question: There have been alot of comments and speculation about the anti christ. With the new president, is there anything in relation in the Bible about this? (submitted by Erica from Colorado on 1-28-2009)
Answer: According to the Bible the antichrist would be a small nation that has world wide influence, its leader, who also is a religious leader thinks he can change God's laws including the one dealing with time.
The apostle Paul calls him the "man of sin" and rightly so, because by decieving people into thinking that he the authority to change God's laws, he will have caused multitudes to break God's law and thus sin.
While taking the name of Christ the antichrist would not behave like Christ, for the antichrist will be a persecuting power.
The man at the head of this small, yet influential nation, will think that he has the right force the people of the world to obey the laws of the man made religious system he is the leader of rather than the laws of God.
Is President Barack Obama the head of a small nation? No. Does President Barack Obama have world wide influence in religious matters? No. Does President Barack Obama think he can change God's laws, and is he trying to promote the idea that he can? No.
President Barack Obama is not the "Man of Sin" and the United States of America is not the small nation which the end of the world prophecy regarding the antichrist is referring to.
In recent years especially there has been a vast number of books, multiplying as the frogs of Egypt, which speculate on the identity of the antichrist.
There has even been a whole series of fiction books called the "Left Behind Series." These books state they are fiction right on the back cover. They are greatly responsible for the confusion of many people on this topic in our day.
In ages past, Christians who studied the Bible, in general had a better understanding of these prophecies. We, myself included, need to study our Bibles more so that we will not be ensnared by the great deceptions of the last days that Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24.
• What will happen to the animals at the end of the world?
Reader's Question: What will happen to the animals of God? (submitted by Amanda from Wisconsin on 11-17-2009)
Answer: The Bible says that not a sparrow falls to the ground without God's notice, He cares for the animals.
"Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?" Luke 12:6
The animal world has been suffering because of the results of our sin. When God made the world originally, there was no death, disease, and fear. Now, death, disease, and fear, is a common part of life. Millions of animals are slaughtered to be eaten, multitudes are hunted for sport, and vast populations of animals are suffering from disease. With a little research on the internet you can learn about mad cow disease, which is now prevalent in the deer, elk, sheep, and even other animals. There is the bird flu and many other viruses going around. Multitudes of animals also suffer hunger and thirst because of the fires and draughts which are occuring all over the world. This causes God much pain, and when He returns, He will bring this suffering to an end.
The apostle Paul wrote about the state of animals in our world: "For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." Romans 8:22
But we are even more important to God than the animals.
"But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows." Luke 12:7
God allows this suffering to continue because He doesn't want anyone to be lost, so He delays His return a little longer still.
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness" 2 Peter 3:9-11
When Jesus returns, this world and all life on it will be destroyed, as it was during the time of Noah. However, this time the destruction will be by fire.
We recommend that you read 2 Peter 3 it is a short chapter and you will be blessed by reading it.
God knows that those are saved from the earth will have many things that they will remember which could cause them sorrow, He promises that the new earth will be so good and unpolluted by sin and suffering that we won't remember the bad things anymore. (It is kind of like how a mother while giving birth goes through so much pain that they can hardly stand it, however, once the baby is born they are so happy that they can now hardly remember the pain.)
"For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind." Isaiah 65:17
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4
Lets repent of our sins, and be ready for the return of Jesus.
|•Are the aliens part of the angels or are they of the devil? I know many do not believe in aliens but they do exist- I just don''t know if they are good or bad?
Thank you for writing, the Bible speaks of many things happening right before Jesus returns. While there is not great information on this topic in the Bible, other living beings and creatures and different worlds are alluded to: See Job 1:6, Hebrews 1:2 and Hebrews 11:3. However, because our world is polluted with sin and is a battle zone between Christ and Satan, people from the other worlds don't visit here. There is a great distance between us and them.
In talking about the last days Jesus gave us these signs: "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven." Luke 21:11 The Bible also says the Devil can transform himself to look like other things: 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 He does this to deceive people. In the last days his deceptions will be VERY great: 1 Peter 5:8, Revelation 12:9, Revelation 13:14, Matthew 24:24
Conclusion: if people are actually seeing something, "aliens", it is the work of the Devil and his angels transforming themselves in order to decieve people.
For a good book on the last days of this world and the final events of prophecy I recommend the book you can find for sale at our other website: Bible Prophecy Book God bless you as you study His word is our prayer.
|•Since there was not supposed to be sin, death, or disease on earth originally when god made it. Was God wanting earth to be what heaven is now?
Yes, and even after sin God's plan was for man to work with Him in restoring the earth to its edenic beauty, and in the process the whole world would be taught the way of salvation.
I found this in an old Christian book:
"If they (Israel) would keep His commandments, God promised to give them the finest of the wheat, and bring them honey out of the rock. With long life would He satisfy them, and show them His salvation.
Through disobedience to God, Adam and Eve had lost Eden, and because of sin the whole earth was cursed. But if God's people followed His instruction, their land would be restored to fertility and beauty. God Himself gave them directions in regard to the culture of the soil, and they were to co-operate with Him in its restoration. Thus the whole land, under God's control, would become an object lesson of spiritual truth. As in obedience to His natural laws the earth should produce its treasures, so in obedience to His moral law the hearts of the people were to reflect the attributes of His character. Even the heathen would recognize the superiority of those who served and worshiped the living God.
"Behold," said Moses, "I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and
your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon Him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?" Deuteronomy 4:5-8.
The children of Israel were to occupy all the territory which God appointed them. Those nations that rejected the worship and service of the true God were to be dispossessed. But it was God's purpose that by the revelation of His character through Israel men should be drawn unto Him. To all the world the gospel invitation was to be given. Through the teaching of the sacrificial service Christ was to be uplifted before the nations, and all who would look unto Him should live. All who, like Rahab the Canaanite, and Ruth the Moabitess, turned from idolatry to the worship of the true God, were to unite themselves with His chosen people. As the numbers of Israel increased they were to enlarge their borders, until their kingdom should embrace the world.
God desired to bring all peoples under His merciful rule. He desired that the earth should be filled with joy and peace. He created man for happiness, and He longs to fill human hearts with the peace of heaven. He desires that the families below shall be a symbol of the great family above.
But Israel did not fulfill God's purpose. The Lord declared, "I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto Me?" Jeremiah 2:21. "Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself." Hosea 10:1. "And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt Me and My vineyard. What could have been done more to My vineyard, that I have not
done in it? Wherefore when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. For . . . He looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry." Isaiah 5:3-7.
...The Jewish people forgot God, and lost sight of their high privilege as His representatives. The blessings they had received brought no blessing to the world. All their advantages were appropriated for their own glorification. They robbed
God of the service He required of them, and they robbed their fellow men of religious guidance and a holy example. Like the inhabitants of the antediluvian world, they followed out every imagination of their evil hearts. Thus they made sacred things appear a farce, saying, "The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, are these" (Jeremiah 7:4), while at the same time they were misrepresenting God's character, dishonoring His name, and polluting His sanctuary." from Christ's Object Lessons 1900
Christians today, where ever they are located, in whatever situation they are in, are to be, by Christ's power in their lives, what Israel failed to be.
"And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.
Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in.
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
For if God spared not the natural branches, [take heed] lest he also spare not thee.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his] goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.
For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural [branches], be grafted into their own olive tree?" Romans 11:17-25
|•If all or some of the fallen angels will repent and ask forgiveness from GOD, will they be forgiven by GOD JESUS? (submitted by Eduardo from the Middle East on 11-03-2011)
The fallen angels cannot and will not repent, God bore long with them in heaven before they were banished to this earth. They will be destroyed in the not too distant future.

|•Will many people in the Roman Catholic church be saved? (submitted by Christopher from the United Arab Emirates on 9-18-2011)
Thank you for writing, and I apologize for the long delay.
Many people in the Roman Catholic church will be saved, as they are serving God or have served God according to the best light they have. However, God knows the case and heart of each individual, and if given the opportunity to obtain more truth and light from His word would they search for it and then follow it or not. The question is do they love Jesus more than anything else, even enough to repent of their cherished sins, if so, it will be evidenced by their actions toward God’s word and their fellow man.
Here are a few of verses that come to my mind:
Acts 10:34, James 1:22, Matthew 7:21-24
